Thanks to scientific nanotechnology research, we have created a revolutionary solution with the activated carbon paste DCP Skincare to sustainably improve safety standards in occupational safety. DCP Skincare is based on special cosmetic raw materials that enable a cleaning performance of more than 99 % and remove particles as small as 3 nm
DCP Skincare uses activated carbon paste made from natural coconut shells. This consists of up to 90 % highly porous carbon and acts as a first-class absorbent due to its large inner surface area. The clay minerals kaolin and bentonite provide additional binding of tiny particles.
The activated carbon paste, which has been rated “excellent” by dermatologists, is already being used successfully in industry, trade and research to protect employees from hazardous substances.
Microparticles can be produced in various ways. Particularly in industry and the military, harmful microparticles are produced by abrasion – for example during metalworking, plastic processing or the use of firearms. Hazardous substances include unburned propellant powder (TLP), dust, lead, copper, tin, zinc, antimony and barium. Microparticles can enter the body by ingestion, through the mucous membranes and especially through the skin. There, microparticles can lead to allergic reactions, reduced fertility and even organ damage.
Particles with a size of <100 nm (e.g. nanoplastics) can penetrate the skin barrier directly.
The main penetration of larger particles takes place via hair follicles, sweat pores, damaged skin, etc.
Small microparticles <20 µm can cause oxidative stress and inflammation (additional damage to the skin barrier).
Particles <5 µm can be taken up by cells and accumulate in organs.
Microparticles that penetrate the skin and can lead to allergic reactions, inflammation, fertility problems and even organ damage.
The cleaning efficiency of DCP Skincare was measured on a pig skin model in accordance with international standards. For this purpose, simulants were used that simulate the behavior of the warfare agents without being dangerous for the user. A defined quantity of the simulants was applied to the skin and the DCP Skincare activated charcoal paste was applied after a constant exposure time. The skin was then rinsed with cold water. In order to determine the decontamination efficiency, the skin pieces were extracted in ethanol and the remaining warfare agents were then determined using gas chromatography. A decontamination efficiency of more than 99.6 % of all simulants was determined.

DCP Skincare was developed on the basis of special cosmetic raw materials to remove the most stubborn materials from the skin down to the pores. DCP Skincare even removes traces of smoke, chemical warfare agents or production dust from the skin without leaving any residue.
DCP Skincare does not use surfactants. Especially when working with hazardous substances, it is essential to avoid degreasing substances such as soaps, surfactants or solvents, as degreasing the skin promotes increased absorption of hazardous substances. DCP Skincare is based on activated charcoal from natural coconut shells. This consists of approx. 90 % highly porous carbon, has a large inner surface area and is therefore considered a very good absorbent. The activated charcoal is supplemented by the clay minerals kaolin and bentonite, which strengthen the binding of harmful substances.
Our patented formula contains only skin-friendly components and was developed in collaboration with dermatologists. The independent dermatological institute dermatest has tested the skin compatibility of DCP Skincare and certified it as “excellent”.
A color indicator shows when tiny particles – invisible to the naked eye – have been successfully removed from the skin. The color of the gel and the resulting contrast make it clear during application which areas of skin the gel has been applied to.
